We work with creators to highlight quality-of-life challenges faced by communities across the country and the solutions to address those challenges.
Challenge
Goal
Building on the success of Civic Wisdom's Speak Your Vote campaign, the goal of Nation of New Voices is to equip locally-based creators and influencers to become powerful civic voices in their communities. This means helping them make sense of important data and analytics to produce compelling stories that resonate with leaders and everyday people.
Results
The Nation of New Voices project works hand-in-hand with the People's Policy Councils to produce and share stories about the future of their communities. This project results in:
- Local groups of influencers trained in civics education and data storytelling: We train influencers through an 8-week "Civic Voices" bootcamp to help them become better analysts and communicators of civic issues.
- National and local reach and engagement: We increase visibility of stories that lead to wide-scale support for a national quality-of-life policy platform.
- IRL activations: We support influencers in facilitating unique and meaningful real-life civic experiences in their cities.
- Voter registrations: We equip influencers to be digital organizers all-year-round to inspire civic behaviors and voter registrations - especially for new voters.
